Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12, 2023. We are saying 'thank you’ this week, and throughout the year, to the extraordinary educators and staff who work tirelessly to help all students learn, grow, and fulfill their potential. Activities planned by the PTA for Teacher Appreciation Week are below – we hope you are able to participate!

Teacher Appreciation Week Video: The PTA is making a group video for SPES Teacher Appreciation Week and we need your help! Please add your own brief video message of thanks to our teachers from your child/children below (it's quick & easy!) Group videos are totally fine as well. Just keep it relatively short so that we can hear from a lot of students. This video will be sent directly to teacher email addresses (no social media posting) in early May.

Teacher/Staff Notes: We encourage parents/guardians and students to write personal notes of thanks to our teachers and staff. This is a great opportunity for children to showcase their creativity and work on their writing skills. Have children hand-deliver the notes to the teachers/staff during the school week. Handwritten notes are amongst the most appreciated sentiments that teachers report receiving!

May 8th: 7:30 am until school start time. Show up a bit early to school arrival to write messages of thanks to our wonderful teachers to kick off Teacher Appreciation Week 2023! (Date subject to change in case of rain)

During the week, the PTA will be decorating the school grounds and delivering a boxed lunch to all staff. While these activities are funded and organized by the PTA, no volunteers are needed.
